Government reappoints Maja Bednaš as Acting Director of the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development

At today's session, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia reappointed Maja Bednaš as Acting Director of the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development as of 6 June 2025. Her mandate is limited to the appointment of a new director and may not exceed three months, i.e. until 5 September 2025 at the latest.

Maja Bednaš has been employed at the Institute since 1998. From December 2018 to June 2019, she served as Acting Director, after which she began a five-year term as Director, which ended on 5 June 2024. Since then, she has continued to lead the Institute in the role of Acting Director.
