Government reappoints Maja Bednaš as Acting Director of the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development

At its session today, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia reappointed Maja Bednaš as Acting Director of the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development with effect from 6 December 2024. Her term will continue until a new Director is selected via a public call for applications, but no later than 5 June 2025.

Mrs Bednaš has worked for the Institute since 1998. She served as Acting Director from December 2018 to June 2019, before being appointed to a five-year term as Director, which concluded on 5 June 2024. Over the past six months, she has led the Institute in the role of Acting Director.
